I can appreciate the sentiment. I have known hatred to be a powerful spur to action that motivated me to rise out of my mundane existence. I have even been applauded for taking stances and found allies against a common enemy through the expression of hatred. I mean, so many people are apathetic these days that lighting a spark under their arses might be the only way to do any good. Look what contempt of trump's 51st state comment has done to unite Canadians towards a national identity in particularity.

This take on the idea of hatred shows a mature understanding that is lost on the entrie milquetoast establishment that clings to liberal platitudes. Hatred is the necessary other of love, the outer shield that protects the object of one's care. It is in that understanding that we start to appreciate motives of others as opposed to seeing them as mere embodiment of their emotional state.
